Monday's incident near L'Enfant Plaza is still on most riders' minds, and some commuters are more aware of their surroundings. But awareness doesn't guarantee they would know what to do if they thought they were in danger.
On train cars Thursday, we saw posters attached to train walls with very specific instructions, clear for all to read. Even so, some passengers couldn't guarantee they would be able to follow through in an emergency.
One rider told us one thing she does to pass the time when she rides Metro is review the emergency instructions-- even more so after Monday.
