Homicide investigation at Silver Spring, MD hotel

Montgomery County, MD Police are investigating a homicide at a Silver Spring hotel.

Police say around 2:30am on Sunday, they went to the Days Inn hotel on 13th Street for a disturbance in the parking lot. When police arrived, they found a man in his hotel room with life threatening trauma to his body. The 24 year old man later died a hospital.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim left his room at approximately 2:30 a.m. Witnesses reported that he was assaulted by a group of suspects in the parking lot. The victim was able to return to his room where police were called.
