GAITHERSBURG, Md. - Montgomery County police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found on a roadside in Gaithersburg on Tuesday.
Police tweeted at about 8:45 a.m. that they’d responded to the scene in the area of Cherry Laurel Lane and Coriander Drive.
The family identified the victim as 34-year-old Dammeon Powell.
Family members told FOX 5’s Paul Wagner that Powell was last seen at 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
Authorities have not indicated what may have led to the person’s death.
Officials said the investigation was still in its early phase and say that Powell's cause death is undetermined.
Powell’s body has been sent to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
