Funeral held for 5-month-old-boy struck and killed by SUV in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Va. - Friends and family said goodbye to a 5-month old boy who was killed when he was struck by a vehicle in Leesburg.

Tristan Schulz was being pushed in his stroller by his mother, Mindy, on the morning August 31 at the intersection of Riverside Parkway and Kipheart Drive.

The driver of an SUV turned and struck the boy and his mother who were both in the crosswalk.

Both were hospitalized but Tristan later died. His mother is still recovering from her injuries.

A GoFundMe page set up to help the family with expenses had raised nearly $100K in just over a week.
