Concert lovers really love life

Excited about the upcoming concert on your calendar? You're going be even happier after you see the show. A new study published in the journal Psychology of Music found that those who attended "habitual music engagements" had the highest "subjective well-being." Translation? Going to a lot of concerts means a happier life.

The survey found that it wasn't enough to just listen to music. It's too easy to put on headphones and brood. No, the happiest people participated in social, shared musical experiences, like seeing a live band or going to festivals. Respondents were even more satisfied if they got down and danced at the events.

Which makes us wonder, are they happy because they're dancing at a show? Or just such happy people, that they can't help but celebrate on the dance floor?

Either way, we say give it a shot: why not put the vinyl away and get out there and bust a move?
