Firefighters rescue man from top of building using a construction crane
WASHINGTON - Firefighters were able to rescue a man on Tuesday who fell ill on top of a building near Nationals Park.
A man who was described as sick was found by firefighters on the top floor of a building and was placed on a stretcher before being lowered down by a construction crane to other firefighters and paramedics on the ground.
D.C. fire says that the male was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and was listed in serious but non life threatening condition.
A firefighter on the scene confirmed that the rescue went as planned and that they are trained to handle construction type incidents.
