LOUDON COUNTY - Some Leesburg neighbors got a special delivery on Thursday evening – pizza or a smoke alarm!
It’s all part of Loudoun County's effort to promote fire safety. Neighbors who ordered Domino's pizza Thursday night were randomly selected to have their pizza arrive on a fire truck.
If their home had working smoke detectors – their pizza was free! If not, firefighters installed new smoke alarms free of charge.
Fire officials say smoke alarms should be replaced every 10 years.
