Family of 5 displaced after fire destroys Rockville home

ROCKVILLE, Md. - An overnight fire destroyed a home and displaced a family of five in Rockville.

The fire started around 11:25 p.m. Sunday in the 11800 block of Danville Drive.

Emergency crews say all occupants were able to escape without injury. The family's cat was reportedly unaccounted for.

Investigators say the fire was accidental and started on the porch of the house. Authorities say damages are estimated at $1.25 million.
