Fall hazard prompts recall of infant carriers sold at Target

A manufacturer is recalling Eddie Bauer infant carriers sold at Target after consumers discovered that the buckles can break, creating a risk of falling for infants.

Gold Inc. says it has received eight reports of broken buckles, but no injuries have been reported.

The products being recalled are black with "Eddie Bauer" and "First Adventure" printed in gray lettering on the front, outside the carrier.

The company says you should immediately stop using the recalled carriers, and contact the company to confirm whether it's subject to the recall.

If your carrier is part of the recall, you can receive a replacement product, or a full refund. If you purchased the recalled carrier, you must cut off and return both straps and tag with your name, address, and phone number.

The recalled items were told at Target between December 2017 and August 2018 for around $70.

You can call the company at 866-600-7205 Monday through Friday during business hours, or email customerservice@goldbuginc.com.
