Fairfax Co. high school seniors feel the Valentine's Day love

For some, Valentine's Day is tough. But with a simple gesture, girls at one school in Virginia were reminded Friday just how special they are-- in the name of a day that's all about love.

Every senior girl at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax was greeted with a flower and an inspirational quote (think "The best makeup you can wear is your smile"). It was all thanks to Robinson's Christian Fellowship, and students worked late into the evening Thursday to decorate the girls' lockers.

The response? Love.

"It shows that people care, that Valentine's Day isn't just about couples, and made my day special," said 12th grader Anna Otto.

The senior flower gifts have become a tradition at Robinson. The school says it's a way for them to let the girls know they were created to love, and be loved, and to be reminded to live their lives in relationship with other people.

Perhaps most of all, it sends the message to the teens and those around them that their story is important, and that their lives matter.
