EXCLUSIVE: Man caught in the middle of police chase speaks out

A man from Sterling found himself in the middle of a wild police pursuit early Tuesday.

Jessie Flores shared exclusive video with FOX 5 that captured the tense moments for police.

"I was like holy crap! I can't believe I'm here. This is amazing!" said Flores.

He was on his way home from an overnight shift when he came face to face with a police pursuit headed straight toward him on the Fairfax County/495 overpass.

"I saw all these helicopters and I was like-- These guys must be searching for that guy from Fairfax Hospital," said Flores.

Fairfax County Police say it started just before 8 a.m. An officer at Fairview Park Drive and Route 50 tried to stop a woman in a pickup truck for a traffic violation.

The woman took off onto the Beltway toward the Fairfax County Parkway with police behind her and an unsuspecting Flores ahead.  He then saw the pickup, the police and the pursuit coming right at him.  The pickup crashed into a wall and stopped.  As police ran to take the suspect into custody, Flores took stock of what he just saw.

"It was just crazy seeing all these cops coming in. Everyone pulling out their guns and then a dog came out and the helicopters were swirling around. It was just crazy!" said Flores.

Fairfax County Police arrested 36-year-old Lakisha Tracy. She was wanted on an outstanding warrant in Arlington County. Tracy was injured in the crash. Police say more charges could be filed.
