Driver killed after tractor-trailer flips off of Capital Beltway overpass

FORESTVILLE, Md. - Part of eastbound Suitland Parkway remains closed Friday afternoon after a tractor-trailer fell from a Capital Beltway overpass killing the driver. Investigators say the truck flipped off the overpass and landed below on Suitland Parkway at around 5 a.m.

The truck, police say, was carrying paper products and went through a guardrail after the driver lost control.

No other vehicles were involved. There were no closures along Interstate 495

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
