Derailed work car causes Red Line Metrorail delays

WASHINGTON - A derailed work car caused delays for Red Line passengers Tuesday morning.

Metro said the work car derailed overnight and was causing single tracking between the NoMa and Judiciary Square stations.

Metro also advised MARC and VRE passengers of possible delays due to the Red Line issues.

Full service was restored after several hours.
