DC police release surveillance photos of suspect in Brentwood homicide

- D.C. police have released a surveillance photo of a man suspected of murdering a Brentwood gas station clerk during a robbery on Brentwood Road in Northeast.

According to investigators, 68 year-old Nazir Ahmad, of Laurel, Md. was trying to stop the robber when he was gunned down.

Police began investigating when they responded to the location on Saturday around 6:07 a.m.

They say the gunman escaped with a just a few hundred dollars before police arrived at the scene.

None of the surveillance images caught the suspect’s face, but police noted that the jeans the suspect wore during the robbery were unusual.
