DC police make arrest in fatal stabbing of 61-year-old man

WASHINGTON (AP) -- District of Columbia police have made an arrest in the fatal stabbing of a 61-year-old man.

The Metropolitan Police Department said Saturday that 32-year-old Andrew Miller of southeast Washington was arrested on Friday night. He's charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of 61-year-old Richard Dudley, also of southeast Washington.

Police found Dudley suffering from a stab wound in the 500 block of Mellon Street in southeast Washington around 1:30 p.m. Thursday after getting a 911 call. Dudley was pronounced dead at a hospital soon after.

Police spokeswoman Aquita Brown declined to say whether the two men knew each other.

No attorney is listed for Miller in online court records.
