OXON HILL, Md. - A court hearing is scheduled Friday for a man charged with killing a hotel employee in Maryland.

Police say Deandre Weems pulled an armed robbery at the Clarion Hotel in Oxon Hill in October of 2013. Investigators say Weems shot one of the employees during a struggle after handed over money.

That worker, Jesse Chavez, later died.
