WASHINGTON - Virginia Republican Barbara Comstock sent a scathing letter to Metro General Manager Paul Wiedefeld following Monday’s derailment blasting the department and saying the transit system continues to get worse.
"Another day; another Metro derailment," she begins. "The constant unreliability and dangerous conditions of Metro unfortunately continues."
Comstock who is on the Committee On Transportation & Infrastructure, says, "Incidents like the derailment on the Red Line are another example of the unacceptable condition of WMATA and the dire need for fundamental reform…"
In December of last year, Comstock introduced the 'Metro Accountability and Reform Act.'
