A recall involving children's cold syrup is expanding after a potential overdose risk.
The Perrigo Company announced the voluntary, nationwide recall of its children’s guaifenesin grape liquid, 100mg/5 mL, and its children’s guaifenesin DM cherry liquid, 100mg guaifenesin and 5mg dextromethorphan HBr/ 5 ml.
The company says the products are sold in 4 oz. bottles under the store named brand. Perrigo says the recall is due to the cold syrup containing an oral dosing cup with incorrect dose markings.
Anyone who has purchased the cold syrup is being asked to discard the product. Consumers can also call 1-800-538-9543 with questions.
