Children and women found bound, gagged in Manassas home

Two women and two children were found bound and gagged after burglars broke into a Manassas home Tuesday afternoon, according to Prince William County police.

Police said officers responded to investigate an abduction after a caller reported seeing his neighbor in distress inside a home located in the 10000 block of King George Drive in Manassas.

"Came out on the back of the deck and that door over there with three glass panels, I hear somebody hitting the glass," said neighbor Brian McMahon. "I look down and the poor woman that lives there has duct tape on her mouth."

When officers arrived, they located one of the victims, a 33-year-old woman.

"I looked into her eyes and she was horrified," said McMahon.

After searching the rest of the house, officers found a 19-year-old woman and two boys, a 5-year-old and 4-year-old, who were also bound and gagged. A 1-year-old girl also found inside was found unharmed.

Police said their investigation has revealed that two black men forced their way into the home through a rear door after 2 p.m. and demanded money. The 33-year-old woman was sexually assaulted during the burglary and the suspects bound and gagged all of the victims before fleeing.

Both of the adult women were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The children reportedly did not sustain any injuries.

McMahon was visiting his mother when the violent attack happened.

"To think that we have lived here 50 years, we have never had anything like this," said McMahon's mother, Gene. "It is frightening."

She said once police arrived, the victims came to her home while investigators processed the crime scene.

"Whoever did this gave them something to drink, some white solution, and they figured it out that maybe it was milk with liquor in it and they just seemed so sedated," said Gene.

That might explain why police said they are still trying to get a good suspect descriptions from the victims. So far, police said the suspects have only been described as two black males.
