WASHINGTON - If you plan to travel by airplane this holiday season - book your tickets NOW! According to Orbitz, October 5th to October 12th is the best week to buy fares for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve.
The magic numbers are 6, 9, and 10:
- October 6th is the best day to book Thanksgiving fares.
- October 9 is the best day for booking Christmas fares.
- October 10 is best for New Year's Eve fares.
According to Orbitz, 71 percent of adults ages 18 to 64 say they are traveling for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and/or New Year's - a 6 percent increase from last year.
