Blue jean sales down as teens turn to active wear and yoga pants, research says

Have blue jeans - the classic American staple - blue jeans - been pushed aside by the more popular yoga pants?

Sales of Levi Jeans are down, according to a report in Bloomberg earlier this year. The report says Levi sales have fallen from about $7 billion per year to less than $5 billion.

Industry experts call the phenomenon the 'casualization' of fashion as teens choose yoga and active wear over jean pants.

Retailers like Old Navy have begun to expand their stock of leggings and active wear over blue jeans.
