According to a news release, police have received credible information that members of various gangs have entered into a partnership to "take-out" law enforcement officers. Those gangs include the Black Guerilla Family, Bloods and Crips.
Police say this is a credible threat. Law enforcement agencies are being told to take appropriate precautions to protect officers.
This comes after Freddie Gray died after suffering a critical spinal injury while he was in the custody of Baltimore police. His death has prompted marches and rallies.
A funeral for Gray was held on Monday.
