Bald eagle beats the odds and flies again over the Potomac River

A bald eagle who presumably was hit by a car on River Road has made a dramatic recovery.

When the eagle hit the car last March in Potomac, Maryland, she suffered a fractured bone in her wing and was no longer able to fly. The Owl Moon Raptor Center took control of the eagle and eventually nursed it back to health.

The center recently released new photos of Trust the eagle and told followers that she is now flying freely over the Potomac Center.

Raptor Center officials say they are extremely pleased that trust has recovered. She was released back into the wild in May.
