Armed carjackers flee after crash in SE, police say

D.C. Police are searching for three armed carjacking suspects who they say stole a Subaru Impreza just before 11 p.m. Monday from an area near the National Cathedral.

The car was believed to have been taken from the northwest near the 3100 block of 36th Street. Officers later spotted the vehicle in southeast and began a pursuit.

Police say the suspects crashed at Cook Drive and Mississippi Avenue and ran from the scene.no injuries were reported.
