Arlington man dressed as Elvis wins Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon

An Arlington man dressed as Elvis won the Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on Sunday night, setting a record for the fastest marathon run by someone dressed as Elvis.

Michael Wardian has run more than 150 marathons and 60 ultra-marathons. Wardian of Arlington, Virginia, finished the marathon in 2 hours, 38 minutes and 4 seconds late Sunday.

With his finish, Wardian broke a Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon run by someone dressed as Elvis. He says the Elvis costume actually cooled him as he ran through the hot Vegas night.

Wardian plans to run another marathon on Saturday, but no word if he plans to set another record, like the one for running a marathon while pushing a stroller. Wardian told FOX 5 his next challenge is to run seven marathons on seven continents starting with Antarctica.

The rock 'n roll marathon comes to D.C. in March and Wardian says he'll be there.
