Will You Eat There? KBQ Real Barbeque

This week, FOX 5's Will Thomas traveled to the Glenarden area for a barbeque hot spot in Prince George's County.

We stopped by KBQ Real Barbeque for "Will You Eat There," and in addition to their food, the owners, staff and customers made sure they were ready for us and brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm!

This BBQ spot is a family-owned business started eight years ago by two sisters and a brother-in-law. They earned a loyal following at its original Bowie location, but moved this Glenarden location a year ago.

What's on the menu?
Of course it's barbeque! If you like a hickory and oak slow smoke approach, this is the place for you! The restaurant says it's KBQ style -- which means "it encompasses everything. It's not just one style. It's not just going to be like a North Carolina or Memphis or Texas. It's our style."

One tasty dish is a pulled smoked turkey with fresh cut french fries.

Another popular one is the hot country sausage link, which comes with black beans, corn salad and cornbread.

If you're craving soup, they have a turkey corn chowder service with cornbread.

If you want some greens and fish, they have a ranch salad with tilapia.

Of course, they have wings. Their smoked wings comes with mac and cheese and cornbread.

How much?
Lunch meals ranges from $9 to $12 while dinner is between $14 to $20. If you have a family of four, their family feasts are less than $50.

The scene!
Customers describe this as a family-friendly place that feels like home and there is always a nice crowd of people to meet and talk with.

Must have:
The two-meat platter consists of brisket and ribs. Everything is slow-smoked. The brisket is smoked for ten hours while the ribs are smoked for at least five to six hours. Some coleslaw and broccoli salad are added in as well.
