Dolly (get it?) is a 3-year-old miniature llama, and his buddy Raindance, a 2-year-old alpaca, made the trip from their home at Squeals on Wheels to visit the FOX 5 studios. Dolly and Raindance-- both males-- spend their time at Squeals on Wheels as part of the petting zoo, traveling to children's birthday parties and other events.
And yes, we said Dolly llama (get it?). He's fairly rare, because most llamas are about 6 feet tall and roughly 300 pounds.
Their handlers, Jill and John, say the Arizona llamas were just scared. The more they were chased, the more they ran. Jill said if their wranglers had just gotten a bucket of free, or even brought in a third llama, they would have formed a herd and calmed down.
Jill and John say they too have lost llamas before, but they've never had trouble getting them back with some feed. Because who doesn't want food?

Turns out, Dolly and Raindance were both very sweet, very soft-- and very good at doing the weather. They joined Tucker at the weather wall-- and he rewarded them for their incredibly accurate forecast by taking them for a nice walk down Wisconsin Avenue.
Let's just say llamas walking the streets in D.C. are a rarity.... CLICK ON THE VIDEO ABOVE TO WATCH WHAT HAPPENED!
