TAKOMA PARK, Md. - No injuries were reported after a Joint Base Andrews helicopter made an emergency landing in Montgomery County Monday morning.
The emergency landing was made at the Lee Jordan Field in the Takoma Park area just before 10 a.m. Authorities say the landing was due to maintenance issues.
In April, an F-16C fighter jet that took off from Joint Base Andrews during a routine training mission suffered a mechanical issue and went down into a wooded area in Clinton, Maryland. The District of Columbia Air National Guard pilot ejected from the jet. No one on the ground was injured in that incident.
