Bradley Stelzer (@bradleystelzer on Twitter) had a different take on measuring the snowfall in Frederick, Maryland. Instead of a ruler, why not use a wine bottle?
By 1 p.m., Stelzer tweeted that more than 6" had fallen, and in the end, the white stuff piled right up to the top of the bottle (which is 12" tall and would be nicely chilled). Stelzer used an iPad Air to capture it, adding that it started out on the floor but had to be moved up when the snow got too high.
On record, Frederick, Md. had received between 10-11" of snow by late Saturday night.
