Alexandria, Va. man arrested for indecent exposure on Metro

An Alexandria, Va. man has been arrested for the second time in less than three weeks on charges of indecent exposure in Arlington and Fairfax counties. Police say William Madison, Jr., 47, allegedly exposed himself to two adult female passengers on Metro in two separate incidents.

Madison allegedly flashed himself while aboard a Blue Line train heading toward Franconia-Springfield on March 28, and again for the same crime on an Orange Line train heading in the direction of Vienna on Monday.

He was arrested for the first incident on July 29, according to police, after he was located by the MTPD warrant squad. Police say Madison was released on his own recognizance following this arrest.

The second incident occurred Monday at around 8:30 p.m. when Madison allegedly exposed himself again to another female passenger, according to officials. Police arrested him Tuesday while he was attempting to enter the Huntington Station in Alexandria.

Madison was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, according to officials. He is currently being held on a $1,000 secured bond.

Based on these circumstances, Transit Police detectives believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information for investigators is urged to call the MTPD Criminal Investigations Division at (301) 955-3000.
