911 emergency calls released from deadly Ellicott City flood

- Howard County Police have released 911 emergency calls made to dispatchers during the flooding that destroyed parts of Ellicott City.

The calls document the terrifying experience faced when flood waters rushed into homes and businesses along Main Street.

In almost every call dispatchers can be heard trying to direct occupants to safety by moving to upper floors of the homes and businesses. Dispatchers can also be heard telling some residents to keep their doors closed to avoid having flood waters rush into the buildings.
