Adele tells Donald Trump to stop using her music at campaign rallies

Adele is telling Donald Trump to back off when it comes to using her music at his campaign events.

The Republican presidential candidate used the music superstar's “Rolling in the Deep” when taking the stage at a recent campaign rally. Her theme for the James Bond movie, “Skyfall,” has also been used in Trump’s rally playlist.

However, a spokesperson for the Grammy Award-winning artist told The Independent, “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.”

Adele is just the latest musician to ask the billionaire businessman turned presidential hopeful to cease using their musical work. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe have previously ordered Trump to stop using their songs.

Adele also put an end in the use of her song by another presidential candidate last week as former GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee had to pull down his campaign parody video of Adele’s “Hello.”
