1 dead in double shooting in southeast DC

- One man is dead and another hospitalized after a shooting at a Southeast D.C. gas station.

Police say the two men were shot around 9:45 p.m. Monday in the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Investigators say one victim was found on Burns Street while the other victim was located on Pennsylvania Avenue.

The deceased victim was shot in the chest while the other man was shot in the stomach. The surviving victim was conscious and breathing, according to police.

It is unclear, at this time, what led to the shooting.

Police are on the lookout for a black male, 5'7" tall and he was wearing a black and white shirt with a pink scarf covering his face.
