Fall may have just begun, but Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. And as many major retailers announce hours for Black Friday and Thanksgiving day, there are many other stores that say they will be closed for the holiday.
The season's retail frenzy is often received with criticism from shoppers and employees -- who just want to have a nice holiday with family and friends.
With backlash from consumers and an increase in online sales from those who want to shop from home, more stores are now making the move to keep their doors closed for Turkey Day.
Outdoor retailer REI even made the change to keep its doors closed for both Thanksgiving Thursday and Black Friday.
