2nd teenager arrested in Fredericksburg triple stabbing

A second teenager has been arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing in a Fredericksburg parking lot.

The second suspect is a 17-year-old resident of Spotsylvania County. He is charged with assault by mob.

The 17-year-old is the brother of a 15-year-old who already faces two counts of first degree murder.

Police said the homicides happened at 2:10 a.m. Sunday outside of Cook Out Restaurant, which is located on 2024 Plank Road in Fredericksburg.

Three adults were stabbed after a verbal altercation escalated in the parking lot, police said. Two of the men died.

The deceased victims have been identified as Anthony Carter, 28, of Albany, Georgia and Mac Hughes, 30, of Portsmouth, Virginia. The third stabbing victim, a 29-year-old Stafford resident, remains in the hospital.

Both of the juveniles are being held at the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center.
