Case dismissed against man accused of paying people to draw blood

- The case against a man who authorities accused of paying people to draw their blood has been dismissed.

Prosecutors dismissed the charge of practicing registered nursing without a license against Khoa Hoang Nguyen on Thursday.

According to court documents, D.C. police say Nguyen was storing large quantities of blood in an abandoned apartment building in Southwest D.C. Authorities claim he paid people $30 per withdrawal.

Officers say they found large quantities of blood that was improperly stored. They also say they found a large quantity of used needles, vials and a ledger that contained 205 names in it.
