Man charged in fatal shooting in Brandywine

BRANDYWINE, Md. (AP) — Prince George's County Police have arrested a man in a fatal shooting in Brandywine.

The department said in a news release Monday that 34-year-old Muhammad Ali of Bladensburg has been charged with first- and second-degree murder.

Officers say Ali and 46-year-old Tyrone Shirriel Jr. of Oxon Hill, who knew each other, got into a fight on Nov. 11. Investigators found Shirriel suffering from gunshot wounds; he died later at a hospital.

Ali is behind held without bond. Online court records do not list a lawyer for him.
