Man indicted in crosswalk accident that killed 5-month-old boy in Leesburg; bond set at $10K

- The driver of a vehicle, who allegedly struck and killed an infant being pushed across the street in a stroller by his mother, has been indicted.

45-year-old John Miller IV was charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter, one count of reckless driving, and one count of failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. One Tuesday, his bond was set at $10,000.

The deadly accident happened in August at the intersection of Riverside Parkway and Kipheart Drive in Leesburg, Virginia.

Police say a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Miller, was turning west onto Riverside Parkway when it struck 5-month-old Tristan Schulz and his mother Mindy.

Both were hospitalized and Tristan later died from his injures.

The next court appearance will be on November 15.
