WASHINGTON - Police are investigating several shootings and a stabbing in the District that left a number of people injured and one person dead.
Police say a man was shot and killed around 6 p.m. Thursday in the 3600 block of Grant Place in northeast D.C. Officers say the victim was unconscious when they arrived to the scene and died shortly after.
At around 9:40 p.m., a man and a woman were shot in the 2800 block of Douglas Place in the southeast. Both are expected to survive. Also in the southeast, two more people were shot around 1:30 a.m. Friday in the 3000 block of Stanton Road. The victims, both men, remain hospitalized at this time.
Police also responded to a stabbing in the southeast around 1:40 p.m. A man was hospitalized after being stabbed in the arm.
No suspects or motives have been identified in any of the incidents at this time.
