Shelter-in-place at schools lifted after bank robbery in Silver Spring

- A bank robbery prompted several schools in the Silver Spring area to shelter-in-place on Tuesday morning. The robbery happened at the SunTrust Bank in the 1300 block of Lamberton Drive at around 9:30 a.m.

Students and faculty at Northwood High, Arcola Elementary, Kemp Mill Elementary and Glen Haven Elementary are sheltering in place at this time.

No injuries have been reported.

Police are still searching for the suspect in the robbery.
