Fairfax County house fire that left 2 dead being investigated as possible murder-suicide

A two-alarm house fire that left two people dead in northern Virginia is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.

According to Fairfax County Fire, responders were called to the 12100 block of Fairfax Hunt Road in Fairfax County around 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The house was destroyed, windows were blown out and flames tore through parts of the roof. 58-year-old Roy Eugene Rumsey and an unidentified female toddler were found dead inside the home. Rumsey was the apparent owner of the home. An exact cause has not yet been determined.
