Takoma Park man's widow, 1 other accused of 2014 homicide

TAKOMA PARK, Md. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested two people for the murder of a 73-year-old Takoma Park man last year, including the man's widow.

Takoma Park Police say 68-year-old Larlane Brown and 49-year-old Hussain Ali Zadeh were arrested at Baltimore-Washington International Airport on Thursday. They have been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in connection with Cecil Brown's death in August 2014.

Zadeh was detained at customs as he was returning to the U.S. from Jamaica. Larlane Brown, who was at the airport to pick up Zadeh, was also taken into custody.

Police say Cecil Brown was found dead in his backyard. A medical examiner ruled he died of blunt force trauma and that his death was a homicide. No motive has been given for the killing.
