Throwback Thursday: Shark spotted in Ocean City goes viral

In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, we're revisiting a story about a shark named Septima that went viral all over again this week, months after we first reported it.

The 12-foot long tiger shark was located in the Isle Of Wight Bay in Ocean City, Maryland, last August.

We reached out to OCEARCH, an organization that monitors sharks around the world, for an update on Septima. They tell us the 1,000-pound shark "pinged" on May 17, but they couldn't get an exact location.

Septima was last officially located back in September off the coast of North Carolina.

Meanwhile, a shark named Mary Lee has traveled through the Delmarva area in recent weeks, including passing near Ocean City last Sunday, according to OCEARCH
