Virginia woman spread feces on coworker's mouse, desk chair

A former Virginia lab worker will spend the next year on supervised probation after pleading guilty to spreading feces on a coworker's computer mouse and desk chair.

Court documents show 31-year-old Andrea Edwards took a stool sample from a patient she had tested in the lab, and put it on a coworker's mouse and chair. The sample, court documents say, had tested positive for a bacteria can cause infection, diarrhea, stomach pain and even death.

Edwards won't see any jail time. In Winchester City Circuit Court on Tuesday, she was given a two-year sentence with suspended time.
