Police: Dunkin' Donuts murder suspect took cab to New Jersey

The man accused of killing his wife at a Dunkin' Donuts earlier this month was last seen near Newark, New Jersey, according to the FBI.

Police say Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel savagely murdered his wife inside the store where they both worked near Arundel Mills Mall on April 12. The body of 21-year-old Palak Bhadreshkumar Patel was found in the kitchen. Police said she had been stabbed multiple times with a large kitchen knife.

Anne Arundel County police held a joint news conference with the FBI on Wednesday. Police said a cab driver came forward to say that they took the suspect to New Jersey soon after the killing. Authorities released two surveillance pictures of Patel at a hotel in the Newark area. The FBI and police said they have no evidence that the suspect has left the country.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the FBI at 800-CALL-FBI.
