SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Fragments of what is believed to be a Chinese rocket streaked across the sky late Wednesday night creating a show for those on the ground.
Videos posted online show the streak moving slowly across the skies above parts of Nevada, California, Utah and Colorado.
According to the FOX 13 in Salt Lake City, the fireball was not a meteor, but rather debris from a rocket launched from China in June.
FOX 13 says that some small pieces may have reached the ground but the main body of the rocket probably melted in the atmosphere.
