Kenwood in bloom: A look at the other DC-area cherry blossoms

You've seen cherry blossoms in D.C., but there's a good chance you haven't seen THESE cherry blossoms. In a not-so-secret secret spot in Bethesda, you'll find cherry blossom-- without the tourists!

There are no monuments, but the blossoms in the Kenwood neighborhood are plentiful. It's located at Little Falls Parkway and River Road, between the District and the Capital Beltway.

In Kenwood, you'll find roughly 1,200 Yoshino cherry trees, most of which were near peak bloom on Monday. Rain coming our way on Tuesday could pose a problem for the blossoms, but there were no signs of trouble Monday night. Only blossoms.

If you go, take note: There's no street parking allowed in the neighborhood, so you'll have to walk or bike your way in to get a look at the blooms.
