Man surrenders in fatal BW Parkway hit-and-run

MARYLAND CITY, Md. (AP) — The U.S. Park Police says a man charged with leaving the scene of a fatal hit-and-run on the Baltimore Washington Parkway has turned himself in and been ordered not to operate a vehicle.

The Park Police says 73-year-old Earl Teeter of Hyattsville turned himself in on Wednesday in connection with a criminal complaint charging him in the Feb. 1 hit-and-run that killed 38-year-old Rick Warrick. Warrick was killed and his fiance was injured when they were hit by a car while changing a tire on the Baltimore Washington Parkway north of Route 197 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Teeter is scheduled for trial on June 8, 2015. Online court records did not list an attorney for Teeter.
