Driver taken into custody in Northern Virginia police chase

A police chase along Interstate 95 in Virginia ended with officers taking a driver into custody Tuesday.

The chase happened around 7:45 a.m. in the area of Interstate 95 and the Fairfax County Parkway near Lorton, Va.

Aerial video showed the driver of a pickup truck racing away from police off of Interstate 95 and onto a side road.

The driver of the truck crossed a grassy median and drove onto a highway ramp. The driver then crossed a concrete median before being trapped by police patrol cars.

Officers could be seen breaking the driver's side window to gain access to the truck.

The driver was pulled from the vehicle and taken into custody by officers. She has been identified as 36-year-old Lakisha Tracy. Police say she was wanted on an outstanding warrant in Arlington County.

The pursuit is not related to the Inova Fairfax Hospital prisoner escape.
