BALTIMORE - Five people were shot at a candlelight vigil in west Baltimore Monday evening.
Baltimore police said officers responded to the shooting in the 1800 block of W. North Avenue at around 6:35 p.m.
Four women and a man all suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting, according to police. Officers found two of the female victims at the scene and they were transported to the hospital by medics. The other three victims admitted themselves at the hospital.
Police said about 20 to 30 people were in the area when a gunman opened fire. The group was holding a vigil for 24-year-old Jermaine Schofield, who was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning at that location.
Police said they have not identified any motives or suspects at this time. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 410-396-2221 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
